Project Description
Construct a new Performing Arts center, approximately 27,000 sf of building addition with exterior canopy adjacent to existing building. New structural steel, CMU, and heavy gage metal framing, all new MEP systems, stage and theatrical equipment, seating, and lighting. Exterior improvements included Earthwork and utilities, hardscape and landscape improvements, parking lot expansion, in an occupied school.
The newly renovated Performing Arts Center features a new “black box” classroom and lecture hall, featuring seating for 513, a full-height flyloft, 3,900 SF stage, recessed orchestra pit, scene shop, a state-of-the-art control booth, upgraded lighting, and two-level lobby. Special attention was given to creating an immersive spectator experience and improved accessibility for people with disabilities.
